Because we never know what to do differently with our overly swarthy bananas, voici la AhhhBanananahhh. A soft and nourishing recipe that makes us want to say "yum! "with every bite. It tastes a little bit like banana bread, but we like it in a patty. A source of fibre and yummy! Smooth, surprising and intoxicating, galette AhhBananahhh is a good source of fibre and tasty energy. Who says you should always make a banana bread with the bananas sleeping on the counter? Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum... ahhhhhBanananahhhh!
Ingredients
- 150 g (1/2 cup) Mrs. Labriski's Date Purée
- 150 g (1/2 cup) plain fat-free yogurt (or 2%, if desired) or unsweetened applesauce
- 1 ripe banana, crushed
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) vanilla extract
- 1/2 tablespoon (7.5 ml) baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) baking soda
- A pinch of salt
- 180 g (1 1/2 cups) whole wheat, whole spelt or other flour
- 30 g (1/4 cup) crushed flax seeds
- 80 g (1/2 cup) unsalted sunflower seeds
- 90 g (1/2 cup) dark chocolate chips (75% or more)
