07 November, 2022

Want to make the General Store a part of your family life but aren't sure what to include as rewards? Don't look too far and just think about what you already offer your children. To help you out, here are some suggestions for items or privileges you could include.

Practical rewards:

Batteries to replace those that no longer work in their toys, individual felt-tip pens to replace those lost or worn out, various objects to replace those that your children may have misplaced, catered meals at school, craft materials, pieces of clothing, etc.

Privilege Rewards:

Going to bed 15 or 30 minutes later, reading a second bedtime story, 20 minutes of screen time, having a picnic in the park, taking a break from housework, a day in pajamas, etc.

Food rewards:

Going to the local ice cream shop, choosing a meal of the week, having breakfast in bed, eating dinner in front of the TV, making your favorite dessert, various sweets or special foods, having dinner upside down, etc.

Experience rewards:

Going to the movies, having a candlelit dinner, inviting a friend over for a special activity, building a cabin in the living room, one-on-one activity with mom or dad, playing a game of your choice as a family, going out at night with headlamps, etc.

Toy Rewards:

Small cars, small Lego, modeling clay, stickers, temporary tattoos, special pencils, collectible objects or cards, bath bombs or bubbles, activity books, bouncy balls, figurines, etc.

Still lacking ideas? Don't hesitate to ask your children what they would like to find there, they will surely be even more motivated to accumulate tokens in order to get what they have chosen themselves!
