You don't remember any memories from before the age of three or four ? That's normal! Since brain structures are not mature enough during very early childhood, long-term memory storage is then impossible.
However, even if babies will not keep any memory of all the activities and all the different moments lived with them, these are still more than important! It is indeed thanks to these that children will develop their attachment to the important people around them as well as different social skills that will be useful to them throughout their lives .
As children grow older, they will store more memories , particularly those related to experiences that are meaningful to them. These memories will shape their identity and influence how they react to new or unexpected situations , in addition to allowing them to situate themselves in relation to others .
