Dates stuffed with walnuts and bacon

Halfway between a bite and a dessert, these dates stuffed with nuts, bacon and honey will undoubtedly please your guests during your festive holiday evenings!

Freeze for three months.

  • Ingredients

    • 24 fresh pitted Medjool dates
    • 125 ml (½ cup) chopped mixed nuts
    • 125 ml (½ cup) crumbled cooked bacon
    • 60 ml (¼ cup) honey
  • Preparation

    1. Split the dates in half to form a pocket.
    2. In a bowl, mix the nuts, bacon and honey.
    3. Stuff the dates with this mixture.
    4. Heat in the oven at 375F for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes and tips

Replace the bacon with crumbled blue cheese.

“Ready to receive” tip
This recipe can go straight from the freezer to the oven. Place the stuffed dates on a baking sheet and reheat in a 350F oven for 15 minutes or until the dates are warmed through.
