Chewy peanut, apple and raisin bars

Freeze for three months.

  • Ingredients

    • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
    • 6 cups oatmeal
    • ½ cup sunflower seeds
    • 1 tbsp baking powder
    • 1 tsp baking soda
    • 1 cup peanut butter
    • 1 cup white sugar
    • 3 eggs
    • 1½ cups applesauce
    • 1½ cups raisins
  • Preparation

    1. Preheat oven to 375F.
    2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, flakes, seeds, baking powder and baking soda. Set aside.
    3. In another bowl, mix all the other ingredients.
    4. Feel free to mix by hand if it is too difficult with a spoon.
    5. Press the mixture into two square pans lined with parchment paper.
    6. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
    7. Allow to cool, unmold and cut into bars.
