Oat and Date Energy Balls

Combine oatmeal, crunchy peanut butter, hemp seeds, fresh dates and dark chocolate chips, and you have delicious balls that will provide a tasty dose of energy to your little ones!

Freeze for three months.

  • Ingredients

    • 1½ cups rolled oats
    • 1½ cups crunchy peanut butter (or soy butter)
    • ¼ cup hemp seeds
    • 1 cup pitted fresh dates
    • ½ cup dark chocolate chips
    • A little water to adjust the texture
  • Preparation

    1. In a food processor, grind the oat flakes into powder.
    2. Add all ingredients except chocolate.
    3. Mix until a ball of dough forms with the texture of cookie dough. Adjust the texture with water if it is too dry or with oatmeal if the mixture is too wet.
    4. Place in a bowl and stir in the chocolate chips.
    5. Shape into small balls about the size of a tablespoon.
