Skillet of apples and granola

Looking for a quick and easy dessert to make, but want to change up the traditional apple crumble? Pan fry some apples, a little butter, brown sugar and a touch of cinnamon, top with granola, and enjoy!

  • Ingredients

    • 60 ml (¼ cup) butter
    • 10 medium apples, peeled and cut into ½ cm x ½ cm cubes
    • 30 ml (2 tbsp (or more to taste)) brown sugar
    • 1 ml (¼ tsp) cinnamon
    • 375 ml (1½ cups) granola
  • Preparation

    1. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter and cook apples, brown sugar and cinnamon for 15 minutes or until apples are softened and golden brown.
    2. Place in 6 bowls and top with granola.
    3. Store in the fridge.

Notes and tips

Add 125 ml (½ cup) of shelled salted pistachios to the granola.
