The 5 steps to follow for efficient storage of seasonal items

07 November, 2022

October is coming and you feel this irrepressible urge to tidy up your home as winter approaches, which will force you to stay indoors more? Have you lost control of your cupboards along with the start of the school year and the storage of summer items? Les Belles Combines has everything you need to help you organize your seasonal items once and for all , so you can finally find them easily when the time comes!

1st step:

Gather all the items that relate to a particular season, holiday, or activity . To help you determine each of the storage categories you will need, you can also get our seasonal storage labels !

 2nd step:

Sort out what you want to keep, what should be thrown away and what could be donated. It's time to apply the “one year” rule: if the item hasn't been used during the previous year, it's a sign that it's time to move on to the next one!

3 step:

Download and print our seasonal storage inventory lists to note what you have decided to keep in each of the categories you have previously determined. As seasonal items are stored in a place that is often difficult to access, this inventory will allow you to quickly know what you have so that you do not have to return to your storage bin each time. You will quickly know what to say to your sister-in-law who offers you a sleeping bag she no longer needs or if it is worth getting a set of Christmas lights offered at a discount!

4th step:

Now is the time to store all these objects in a transparent bin (which will allow you to quickly see what you have!), to affix an identification label of the category of objects found there and to place these bins in the place of the house that suits you.

5 step:

Finally savor this moment when everything is finally organized in an orderly fashion, and no longer waste your precious time looking for Christmas tree decorations or sand toys for your trip to the beach every year!
